It is worth to mention that the library is the ‘heart’ of any academic institution and plays an important role in all academic activities. The J.B. Law College is a premier Law institute in the entire N.E. India. The J.B. Law College Library was established in the year 1969. The Library was established to cater to the needs of the students and teachers of the college. It has a rich collection of books and journals. The library is one of the best law libraries in N.E. India. Students avail the facilities of borrowing books from the library against the Library Cards. They may read various books, newspapers and journals in the reading room of the library as per their own choice. There is a book bank facility meant for the economically backward students of the College.

J.B. Law College library has an open access system which facilitates readers to have easy access to the library resources. The users of the library may also avail computerised facilities for both housekeeping as well as information retrieval. Presently the library has a leased line connection for the internet service and it is possible to have easy access to information directly from all available computerized data bases all over the world (WWW), not only in the field of law but also in other knowledge hubs.

The library is equipped with the database software SOUL 2.0 version that is state-of-the-art integrated library management software designed and developed by the INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad Gujrat. The J.B. Law College Library is also a member of N-LIST a digital consortium of UGC-Infonet.
